All Those Years
(by Marc Ledermann)
In all those years
I have never learned to smile,
Still I'm a dogged man.
Watching your eyes being closed
And viewing the flowers, too.
Whenever I was told about a battle field
I struggled in vain.
In all those years
I could never take the reins,
Still I'm on way to hell.
In all those years
I could never hold my ground.
Well, I'm a stumbled man.
Whether advance is assured
Is never the crucial feud.
Invoked crusaders fought mischief beyond belief,
But people complained.
In all those years
All the world was ungrateful.
Well, I'm a dogged man.
In all those years
I have never danced so well,
Still I'm a cynic man.
In all those years
I have never learned to smile,
Still I'm a dogged man.
