Seven Bloody Lies
(by Marc Ledermann)

The rain drops down like strikes of fate.
I hear the voice that torments my own.
My shoes are wet and so are my feet.
The sky is grey, I shiver with cold.
The seven riders riding away.
I hear some young wives crying for them.

Seven bloody lies
Are told them by someone.

And seven fathers are proud of them.
They cannot see it's fading away.
The days are passing on and on.
A son is born without his dad.
The people have forgotten the guys
Who took their swords and passed out of sight.

Seven bloody lies
Were told them by someone.

Their wives have waited for them so long,
The war is over after all.
One day three fighters have returned.
A mournful cripple that's the one.
The others, they look like two old men.
They can be never happy again.

Seven bloody lies
Were told them by someone.
